Heliconia Watercolor Painting

$250.00

Included in a painting series of tropical plant paintings, the Heliconia is often mistaken for the Bird of Paradise, because of their similar blooms. The meaning behind flowers is fascinating, as the Heliconia is close in meaning to the Bird of Paradise, symbolizing joy and new beginnings.

I’ve come across its lovely blooms most often in botanical gardens and like a treasure hunter I find delight in capturing their form with my camera, tucking the memory away under, plants I need to paint.
